Essential Job Functions


- Prepare concept sketches, layouts, and specification documents as required.

- Assignments may involve new product design, product improvements, test, analysis, production liaison and service liaison utilizing a variety of engineering disciplines.

- Responsibilities may include structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and/or control system design.

- Prepare basic analysis, test, performance, schedule, and cost information as required in assigned area of responsibility.

- Prepare and report on progress, feasibility, and concept studies, etc. as required.

- Assist other departments in preparation of manuals and sales literature on assigned projects.

- Maintain close contact and coordinate activities with other groups within the Product Engineering department.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions


- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an additional 3 years’ experience in new product design required.

- CAD design experience required.

- 8D process preferred.

- Lab-testing protocol knowledge preferred.

- Experience in root cause analysis preferred.

- Gas, Electric, Heating experience preferred.

- Design and sheet metal design experience preferred.

- Experience in durable goods a plus.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.

Oven and Advanced Cooking is a part of the Manitowoc Foodservice division – parent company, The Manitowoc Company, Inc. This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions


- Must demonstrate a high attention to detail that is balances by the ability to meet production demands.

- Observe all prescribed Safety Rules and Regulations

- Maintain neat and orderly environment at all times.

- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.

- Must be able to work from routing sheets, blue prints weld procedures, written and verbal instructions.

- Ability to interpret blueprints.

- Must be able to position, fit, block, clamp and tack parts to proper positions as required.

- Select proper welding equipment and material prescribed; regulate weld parameters to generate proper welds.

- Exercise care in welding to ensure proper technique. Check welds and product for adherence to all specifications.

- Must be able to fabricate/cut, bend and weld metal using various equipment such as various other hand tools.

- Responsible for completing all required reports and records.

- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions


- High school diploma or GED required.

- Minimum one year MIG and TIG welding of light gauge stainless steel required.

- Ability to cut, bend and weld fabricated parts.

- Ability to perform basic math.

- Mechanical Aptitude.

- Trouble shooting skills.

- Sheet metal assembly & ability to read blueprints.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
